The European Food Information Council (EUFIC) is a non-profit organisation which provides science-based information on food safety & quality and health & nutrition to health and nutrition professionals, educators and the media, in a way that promotes consumer understanding. 

EUFIC has developed a background brief on the basics of healthy diets and lifestyles for participating schools across Europe. This brief is intended to provide students with the basic knowledge of nutrition before they start preparing their video, which are now available on the website.
